The name of the site brings a doubt in mind. Yes this site is a scam. Initially when I have joined there, I did not find anything to click. But it was telling repeatedly to me to upgrade. I did not do so. On the very next day I was told that my account has been suspended due to some unknown reason.

You were very smart in not purchasing their upgrade as I'm sure they would have treated you the same way unless they could steal more from you. They must have terminated the account since you didn't fall for their trick.

I think these types of sites are for collecting the data base from all over the world. They sell the collecting data base to other agencies. It is a pure illegal business. They operate from such countries where the law can not catch them. If the law permits then it is very much easier to punish the sites that become scam or cheat the people.
